So Madcatz dropped a megabomb the other day and introduced their new modular gaming keyboard, the S.T.R.I.K.E. 7. Designed aesthetically to resemble the F.R.E.Q and R.A.T. products, the S7 has a unique aero dynamic look to it. It’s solid black in color with metal highlights on the hand rests and V.E.N.O.M. touch screen buttons.
The S7 is completely modular, giving you plenty of options for ergonomic gaming experiences. If you like, you can just use certain portions of the keyboard that suit your game play.
The V.E.N.O.M. touch screen has several different functions including:
Program-specific volume control
Custom macro button layout
Quicklaunch of programs/games/apps
Journal for making game specific notes
Teamspeak
Backlighting Adjustment
Clock / Timer
Window Key Locking
Media Controls
The hand rests are adjustable and the keyboard also has 2 hi-speed usb ports, interchangeable WSAD and ARROW keys and RGB back lighting.
It comes in at a hefty $299, but if you are a serious PC gamer, that’s par for the course. The S7 is available right now in limited quantities. Stay tuned for our detailed unboxing and review.
