Here’s a quick but interesting thing for you guys to check out.
So I’m talking to Torrence on Skype and he hits me in the face with something. Apparently not all Playstation 4 systems will come bundled with the Playstation 4 Camera.
Check this out:
“Playstation 4 camera may be required and is sold separately.”
Pretty nuts right? It seems as if this device won’t be like Microsoft’s Kinect in that the system NEEDS it to function. The biggest downside is that if you want to play any games that use the camera, you’re going to have to fork over some extra cash to get it. It might also mean that since most people won’t have the camera, that the few games that will utilize it might be gimmicky.
There is also another thing that caught my interest in this picture as well.
“Dualshock 4 features may not be available for all titles.”
Hmmm. I’m not sure what to make of this. Does it mean that certain talked about features like sharing and using the touch pad won’t work on all titles? This could apply to old titles that will be made available through Gaikai or some from the Playstation Network. It makes sense for some of the Dualshock features to not work with these kinds of titles but what about Playstation 4 games? Will some of them have Dualshock 4 features while others don’t?
These two lines raise a lot of questions. Hopefully we’ll get some answers during E3 next week. STFUandPLAY will be there to cover the show so make sure to check us out all next week for more news on this and other stories.
